Western Thornbills are endemic to south-western Australia.
They are found only in the south-western corner of the continent,
roughly up to a line connecting Lancelin, WA, in the North, and
Cape Arid NP, WA, on the South coast. Occasionally they venture
a bit farther to the North and also farther inland.
Western Thornbills have a preference for open woodland or open forest and coastal scrub, but they are also found in
gardens.
