White-faced Robins are small robins.
Their most prominent feature is a conspicous, "owlish" which facial
mask. Apart from the white forehead, chin, cheeks and eye-rings,
the side and top of the head are black, while the nape of the neck
and the rest of the upperparts, including the tail, are dark
olive-green. The wings are darker and more greyish than the back.
The facial mask is accentuated by a bright-yellow semi-collar around
the front. The rest of the front is yellow.
The irises are dark. Legs and feet are pinkish.
Juveniles
have brownish cryptic
plumage, with darker
(and more streaked) upperparts than the underparts.
