Birds of Australia - external contributions
Would you like to contribute photos to this web site in order to widen the scope of what is being shared with others? If interested, please read the following before sending us an email.
Credits given for all contributions!
All contributions are acknowledged in two ways. Whatever information or photos we use that are not our own will be attributed to the contributor on the page where they appear. Each contributor also receives an entry in the credits page for each page with a contribution. For examples, just have a look at the credits page.
Requirements
To fit external contributions into the format of our pages, we require from external contributors the following information:
Requested contributions | |
---|---|
1. | At least one photo (or sound recording) that is either better than what we have or demonstrates something we do not present on this site yet (preferably the original photo, with its original name/number). We reserve the right to select what goes onto the website. In case of sound recordings, MP3/M4A is the preferred format, but WAV, M4A and OOG are also acceptable. |
2. | Together with each photo/sound recording, we will need the date (month/year) when the photo/recording was taken, plus the approximate location (to within a few km if in a rural area, name of the suburb if taken in an urban environment). Again, we reserve the right to edit contributions. |
PREFERRED LOCATIONS
Although contributions are invited in general, we are keen to find contributors in particular in the following locations/areas:
Preferred locations | |
---|---|
1. | Far-North QLD (anywhere in tropical QLD, but primarily Cape York peninsula) |
2. | Red centre (anywhere between ca. Mt. Isa, Ivanhoe, Merredin and Kunnunurra) |
