Description of habitat |
This page describes open, arid inland habitats dominated by what
is commonly called "spinifex grass", but is correctly known as
"Triodia"
, of which more than 60 different
species are known. These hummock-forming grasses of the arid
interior are not to be confused with the coastal true
Spinifex
commonly found on
coastal spinifex
dunes.
