Clamorous Reed-Warblers are relatively large reed
birds.
Their front is creamy (eyebrows, throat) to buff-cream (face,
chest, belly, vent), while the back is grey-brown, with
darker grey-brown flight feathers and tail.
The eyes have dark-brown irises. The relatively long, almost
straight bill has a grey upper mandible, the lower mandible is
horn-coloured. The legs and feet are grey.

There are in total 9 extant races of Clamoruous Reed-Warblers.
Altogether, their range spans from Egypt (e.g. the
Nile river valley), some wetland areas in the Middle East,
Arabia and along the southern coast of Iraq and Iran into
southern Asia (parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan and India,
including Sri Lanka) and on to eastern Asia, up to southern
China and, in particular, the Philippines.
In Arabia Clamorous Reed-Warbler are usually found in some
isolated areas along the coastal fringe, including the
coastline of northern Oman.
They can be found in wetlands with reeds that
are tall enough to hide a person, often with interspersed shrubs.
