Barrington Tops National Park, NSW, Australia |
Here a few photos taken at Barrington Tops NP. This NP is located about 150 km north of Newcastle, NSW. It consists of a plateau of hills, with peaks up to almost 1600 m dominated by Snow Gum eucalypts. It is situated on the eastern slopes of the Great Dividing Range, just north of the Hunter River estuary. The Hunter River is an important boundary for wildlife, including birds of Australia. There are a number of species that don't cross the estuary in either direction. On the other side of the Hunter there is Watagans NP. Note that some photos presented on this website are available FOR SALE.
