Welcome to Michael Dahlem's astronomy pages!

Until 2010 I was an observational astronomer, with a specialisation in radio astronomy. Over the years I also worked in optical and X-ray astronomy, all of which (and more) are described on my popular-scientific pages. My scientific work is summarised on the science pages (which are more suitable for professional astronomers).

I have also taught astronomy courses at the university level, using e-learning tools, in particular the course management system Moodle (external link).

Besides the scientific work I take an interest in communicating astronomy to the public. This has led to the creation of a set of popular-scientific web pages covering a wide range of topics. Use the second-tier header above for easy navigation.
