Comet McNaught (C/2006 P1)
Based on local weather conditions, comet McNaught was visible from 20 km east of Narrabri, New South Wales, during three consecutive nights, 18-20 January 2007. I took photos on the nights 19 & 20 January.

In the overview above the comet is visible as a faint sickle; it shows up more prominently in the larger version of the photo.
This and all other photos shown below were obtained with a Sony DSC-H1 digital camera. This overview was taken with an equivalent focal length of 34 mm.
The following exposures were all taken with a 12x optical zoom (i.e. an equivalent focal length of 410 mm).
