Colour photo of the LMC, obtained with a normal 24x36 mm camera, on an Afga 1000 RS colour slide film. The salient parameters are: Focal length 50 mm, blend 2.8, exposure time 30 minutes.
From the southern hemisphere one can already gain a good impression of the LMC, although the colours might be less obvious than in the photo, with a good pair of binoculars.
