Jovian Storm on 26 March 2006
During March 2006 Jupiter was quite active, emitting 20 MHz radio waves that could be picked up by SIMPLE radio telescopes. The storm of 26 March 2006 was in fact observed by all three units operated by staff of the ATNF, see plots below.

Comparing the three plots one can notice the following:
- The signal-to-noise of the various units is quite different - those of SIMPLE and PKSIMPLE are a lot higher than SIMPLETON's. This difference arises from the use of different amplifiers and different kinds and lengths of cable to the antennas.
- SIMPLE and PKSIMPLE, because of the longer baselines that they are currently configured in, have a faster fringe rotation rate than SIMPLETON. Over the duration of the two events their correlated output power changes from positive to negative sign, while SIMPLETON's remains negative throughout.
- The time of PKSIMPLE is off a bit compared to the other two units.
- Even after taking into account a time offset, the times and intensities of the various emission peaks seen by the three units do not coincide exactly.
- The electric fence near SIMPLETON was off during the observation (no cloud of points hanging above the rest as on 3 April 2005)...
