Juvenile Black-eared Cuckoo and its hosts

(Chalcites [Chrysococcyx] osculans)
Size: 19-21 cm
Weight: 25-38 g

Just before finding the juvenile Black-eared Cuckoo shown below, alarm calls of Speckled Warblers, its potential (most likely) egg hosts, were heard from near the cuckoo. However, they left (at least temporarily) and the young cuckoo was subsequently observed by us being fed by a pair of White-throated Treecreepers.
